Available for consulting — Spring 2026

I find the friction
in how your business runs— and remove it.

I help small-to-midsize businesses use web technology and AI in ways that are practical, affordable, and actually useful. Twenty-plus years of shipping software — from the agency trenches to the frontend replatform at Under Armour.

What I do

Four ways in. One goal —
make the business run better.

01

AI Strategy & Implementation

Figure out where AI can genuinely help — then build it. Automating repetitive work, custom AI workflows, practical tools your team will actually use.

02

Web Application Development

Modern, fast, reliable web apps with React, Next.js, and TypeScript. New builds, or bringing tired products back to life.

03

Technical Advisory

Senior technical guidance without the full-time hire. Architecture, technology choices, vendor calls, and keeping the engineering team aligned.

04

Code & Architecture Review

A focused look at your codebase with a clear action plan. Good before a big investment, after inheriting something, or when you need a straight answer.

Who I work with

A good fit if —
any of this sounds familiar.

I do my best work with small-to-midsize teams who want to move quickly, try new things, and get honest technical help from someone who’s been doing this for two decades.

  • You run a small-to-midsize, owner-operated business.
  • Your tools got duct-taped together and now they’re slowing you down.
  • You want to use AI but don’t know where to start — or who to trust.
  • You need senior technical judgment without hiring a full-time CTO.
  • You’ve inherited a codebase and need a straight answer on what’s there.
  • You’d rather talk to one person than a ten-person agency.

Matt has been a driving force in introducing our team to agentic AI development. He inspired the entire team to expand how we think about and implement AI in our daily workflows — and directly inspired me to get into agentic development with tools like Cursor and Claude Code. That kind of curiosity, paired with generosity, is rare.

How it works

Low friction from the first call. Most clients end up staying.

  1. STEP 01

    A conversation

Phone, video, or in person — whichever works. We talk through what you’re dealing with and where you’re stuck. No pitch. At the end, you’ll know what I’m seeing and whether it’s worth going further.

  2. STEP 02

    A quick snapshot

Based on our conversation, I write up a one or two-page summary — what I observed, what I’d tackle first, and why. Plain language. Free. If you want to go deeper, that’s when we talk about what a real engagement looks like.

  3. STEP 03

    We get to work

Most of my clients end up on a retainer — a few hours a month, ongoing, where I stay in your corner and keep the wheels turning. We can also do a fixed project if that’s the better fit. Either way, you’ll always know what I’m doing and why.
